Maintaining the flow of breath is key to a vinyasa yoga practice. Learning how to transition from one pose to another with lightness can help add a fun dynamic to linking breath and movement. In this workshop you will:

  • Learn what a transition is and how it can be used in a vinyasa yoga practice

  • Investigate the physics behind lifting up

  • Practice moving from your center to achieve a feeling lightness

  • Explore how practicing transitions builds strength, stamina, and expands breath-control

  • Develop skills that can be introduced into your regular practice to help keep it sustainable, dynamic, and fun for years to come

This workshop is for all levels, period! Beginners will have an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of transitioning with modifications, when appropriate. Those with more yoga experience will refine their skills and expand on fundamentals covered to learning to move with a feeling of lightness through sun salutations as well as jumping back out of and jumping through into several seated postures.
