Ashtanga yoga is for everyone. And that is what’s great about this method of practice. Introduction to Ashtanga will introduce students to the Ashtanga yoga practice and explain how this practice can work for you as an individual.
Introduction to Ashtanga will introduce you to the fundamental postures of the Ashtanga series and see how this system contributes to improved strength, stamina, flexibility, breathing and breath control.
This workshop suitable for beginners, those with no yoga experience at all, and those who have yoga experience, but have not practiced much Ashtanga yoga. Students will have the opportunity to learn fundamental postures with modifications, when appropriate. Those with more yoga experience will be able to refine skills and extract more information from the fundamentals covered.
This workshop will prepare you to enter a led primary series class or Mysore-style (self-practice) setting with confidence.
